Excellent breakfast sandwich. Next time I will request buttered, toasted bun which will make it perfect !
I loved the fried chicken, definitely home made style. We talked to the owner for a while, he is a very nice guy with an abundance of food knowledge. We dined at the Pico Blvd location.
Excellence beyond words . Food is cooked to perfection. The service is always on par , with a welcoming atmosphere. It's truly a family experience, and much like a second home. Biscuits are their trademark. I recommend eating here just once. You won't be disappointed.
I usually don't like to go to breakfast out because I have certain allergies, and it is very hard for me, but we went into groats Restaurant and I was really amazed the fact that I could eat there because they are so willing to work and give you what you want by substituting, and the end result is amazing. we were welcomed by a very friendly, caring gentleman who made sure that everyone was taken care of .The food was delicious, the eggs with hollandaise sauce perfect. The biscuits were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. not to be believed. The gluten-free biscuits were so true to taste. It was hard to believe that they were gluten-free. The oatmeal was real. Oatmeal did not taste like a bland cereal, chicken Apple sausages, almost like a caramelized exterior and delicious center. Cilantro, potato pancakes were like nothing you've ever tasted before, and if you are not a lover of cilantro, it is incorporated into the taste so well that it is just tasty, not overpowering. Everthing from the pour over coffee to the raspberry jam were so amazing ,the food and the staff are a wonderful experience.
Hadn't been to John O Groats for some time and I had a meeting in the area last week. Picked up a club sandwich To go for later and I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich later on. I will return again, probably in the new year as I have some business nearby in January Great place and the nicest people. Thanks again. John Moudakis.
I've been traveling around california for the past 2 months as a British tourist and I can safely say this was the best food I've had during my whole time in the states! The whole experience was an absolute treat, the proprietor Paul was an absolute gent and took care of us from the start. The pancakes were ideal, generous portion size, light texture and the side order of biscuits is something I would recommend as a must! Thanks again guys for a great experience
We went to John. O Groats and had the breakfast buttermilk pancakes they were absolutely delightful! They were fluffy, light, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. The buttermilk added a lovely tangy flavor that complemented the warm maple syrup beautifully. The pancakes were cooked to perfection with a golden brown crust on the outside and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture inside. Overall, a fantastic breakfast treat that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious start to their day. My wife had the bacon and eggs with a waffle they were a delicious combination! The bacon was crispy and flavorful, the eggs were cooked just right, and the waffle was fluffy and golden brown. The savory-sweet contrast between the bacon and maple syrup drizzled over the waffle was simply mouthwatering. This hearty breakfast dish hit all the right notes and left me feeling satisfied and ready to start the day. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone looking for a tasty and filling breakfast option! Coffee is amazing. Sal Rodriguez
I usually go to O'Groats for the biscuits and I'm never disappointed. This time I tried the chicken sausage and it was excellent and I'm not usually a sausage fan. The service was terrific as usual. Paul always has a warm hello for us and today we had the pleasure of meeting Yazmin whose bright smile and attentive service really made our whole experience there perfect. Thank you!
Went back to John O Groats as I had a follow up meeting nearby. I ordered the Buttermilk pancakes to go, so I figured after my meeting I would take my to go order into the office and have the pancakes there. I enjoyed the ride to my office after my meeting knowing that I was going to eat my pancakes first. Thanks again. John.
Every single thing on the John O'Groats menu is to die for, but the one unique thing that slays me every time is this unicorn. The genius who concocted this sweet, savory, salty mind-blowing deliciousness has my lifelong gratitude and devotion. The food isn't the only thing that ranks among the best breakfast experiences in Los Angeles, the service rocks. In fact, The owner himself is usually at the door, running the show, with a warm and genuine smile. This is our family's go-to spot for impressing visiting loved ones or anytime we need a soul-nourishing meal. P.S. The wait is worth it. Don't hesitate.
